A selective day
The traditional list limits recommendations to its named activities. Read the specific entries below before making plans.

Lucky numbers
A finishing touch
ObsidianOr a dark watch strap or a black cord bracelet.
All daily content follows China Standard Time (UTC+8), even if your local date differs. Cultural inspiration, not a prediction.
Wear a little of the day
Use navy as your base and charcoal for a small finishing detail.
Today's branch is associated with metal; our palette follows the water element it generates. The lucky numbers 1 and 6 follow that palette's traditional He Tu number pair. These are symbolic choices, not odds or promises.
Accessories, crystals & ordinary alternatives
Obsidian is chosen for its appearance. A dark watch strap or a black cord bracelet works just as well. No purchase is needed; use what you have.
Do & avoid, in everyday terms
These are familiar-life interpretations of specific traditional entries, not instructions or a verdict on your day.
Traditionally supported

Where the day comes from
Calendar sources, date & time conventions
Calendar, lunar date, day officer, stem and branch, activity lists, joy direction and hour classifications are locally calculated with tyme4ts 1.5.3. Its supplied almanac tables represent one tradition; other almanacs may differ. Lunar dates are checked against sampled Hong Kong Observatory calendar data. The Observatory does not supply or endorse the lifestyle readings.
Each page covers 00:00–24:00 at fixed UTC+8. Daily rules follow Tyme's date-level solar-term convention. Hour rules change at the exact solar-term instant and use the next sexagenary day from 23:00. We split those boundaries, clip the Rat hour at midnight and apply both the displayed day's and effective hour-day's restrictions. All times are displayed in China Standard Time (UTC+8).
Today's day class is “Traditionally cautious” (朱雀). It is not an all-purpose endorsement. Specific avoid entries override recommendations; “no activities recommended” suppresses them, and “do not undertake other activities” limits them to named entries. Hour lists are shown as supplied by the traditional source. If they conflict with the day's guidance, the day takes priority.
You can view today and tomorrow in UTC+8. Shared links keep their date and are available while that date is today or tomorrow. No daily AI call, publication or manual review is needed.
Colors, numbers, crystals & zodiac interpretation
Our daily style rule uses the earthly branch's element and the generating sequence Wood → Fire → Earth → Metal → Water → Wood. The next element supplies the main palette; the day's own element supplies alternatives. This is Line & Choice's consistent styling convention, not a personalized lucky-color calculation.
Number pairs follow the traditional He Tu correspondence: Water 1/6, Fire 2/7, Wood 3/8, Metal 4/9, Earth 5/10. We choose the pair for the main palette's element. The classical discussion of five-element numbers is a cultural reference, not evidence of improved luck. Crystal and everyday accessory pairings are our own color-based suggestions.
Chinese zodiac notes compare only your chosen animal with the day's earthly branch: opposite branches, six-harmony pairs, three-harmony groups or the same branch. They do not calculate a full birth chart, compatibility, hidden intentions or future events. Shared selections override your saved choice for that view; only a selection you make is saved.
Astronomy and the limits of sun-sign notes
Astronomy Engine 2.1.19 calculates the geocentric Sun and Moon longitudes in the tropical ecliptic of date, plus the lunar phase angle, at 12:00 UTC+8. We divide longitude into twelve equal 30° signs. These signs are not the unequal astronomical constellations.
Our daily pointers use the Moon's whole-sign distance from your selected sun sign as a symbolic solar house, along with the lunar phase. We translate those symbolic themes into everyday cautions. This is a lightweight interpretation convention, not a computed natal chart or a scientific forecast. Notes can repeat while the Moon remains in the same sign. All notes are recalculated for each date; Moon sign changes within the day are shown with the time information above, without changing the noon snapshot mid-page.
